    Expanding the Range of ECA-B3/H3, ECR-B3, ERC-E3 Solid Carbide Endmills

    Highlights
    Following market demand, ISCAR expands the range of ECA-B3/H3, ECR-B3, ERC-E3 solid carbide endmill families by adding new endmills with a diamond like carbon tetrahedral amorphous carbon (DLC Ta-C ) coating. The new tools provide much longer tool life in machining non-ferrous materials.



    ISCAR expands the range of ECA-B3/H3, ECR-B3, ERC-E3 flute endmills for aluminum and non-ferrous materials with new DLC coated tools.
    Ta-C (Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon) is considered superior among the different DLC forms and provides qualities such as hardness, wear resistance, and slickness, which prolong tool life significantly and diminish chip jamming.

    These properties make it ideal for machining non-ferrous materials such as:
    • Aluminum and Aluminum alloys with up to 12% Si content
    • Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum
    • Carbon & plastic
    • Composite


    Introducing endmills with new DLC Ta-C coating opens promising possibilities for reducing unit costs in manufacturing aluminum parts.
