PENTA 24N-PF Expands with New IC30N Cermet Grade Inserts
Highlights
ISCAR expands its range of PENTA 24N-PF inserts made from IC30N cermet grade with an extended width range of 0.5 to 4.0 mm and full radius inserts.
Following an extremely favorable market response to the IC30N PENTA 24N-PF family of positive
flat rake IC30N cermet grade inserts, which are used for precision grooving and parting, ISCAR is
expanding its range by adding more width and radius options.
IC30N Cermet Grade Features
- Able to run at high cutting speeds, producing a high surface finish
- Recommended for semi-finishing and finishing operations, providing close tolerances and
shiny surfaces
- Prevents built-up edge, especially on stainless steel
- Excellent combination of toughness and wear resistance results in long tool life
- Suitable for applying on a wide variety of materials, especially for finishing applications on
stainless steel and alloy steel
